In this melting world, Perfection is unstable. When you came in, you asked me what inspired this design, and I said a simple answer. To be honest with you, when I was vacationing in Mallorca, a heavenly place, my significant other at the time had “ghosted” me and I had to make the trip alone. I spent most of the trip alone, angry, and embarrassed. Then one day, as I was watching first-time paddle boarders balance on their boards, I noticed that the ones who fell were the ones who focused too much on staying tall, straight, proper. The ones who were able to cruise so peacefully along the waters were the ones who were patient, bent with the waves, and chose to kneel if the current was too strong. At that moment, I realized that I was also bound to failure because of my expectations of perfection in a world of imperfections. So I too, kneeled with the waves, rode the turbulence, and this design came to me. Thank you Kyle for choosing to grace your arm with one of my designs. Our session was almost like sitting down with a friend from a past life time: familiar yet refreshingly new.
